The 'Tempting Fate' meme:

1. Make an LJ-cut post with "DO NOT READ" as the text.

2. Do not select a 'mood' for this post.

3. If anyone clicks the cut, they are to comment and admit to doing so.

4. Anyone who reads this is also to do the same in her or his journal.

"Do Not Read" is just like a red flag to a bull to me. Also does not pass the sanity test. If you didn't want it read, you wouldn't have put it up there.

I don't know if I'll manage to put it in my LJ, but I'll try.

Well, yes, all that is the whole point, no?

This got into my journal because I read it on [personal profile] akirlu's, and my reasons were much the same as yours. I almost think that the meme ought to include "friends-lock it", too.

Well, of course I read it David. Who wouldn't? I figured it was one of those things like my cuts where I say "really, of interest only to me" or else it was a link to something disturbing you wanted to share with people but you wanted them to be ready to be disturbed.

I might do it in mine, later, but how many readers do I have that you don't?

By my count, 42.

(As infrequently as I post, I'm amazed that anyone at all has bothered to friend me.)

Do I have to pass it on if I claim I didn't read it? :)

I should think that's entirely between you and your conscience.
