I'm trying to think of good songs to play at my wedding, coming up in six weeks. So far I've got:

Every Breath You Take (The Police)
Tainted Love (Gloria Jones, Soft Cell)
I Can See For Miles (The Who)
The World's Address (They Might Be Giants)
They'll Need a Crane (actually TMBG has quite a few songs)
He Hit Me (And It Felt Like a Kiss) (The Crystals)
Run For Your Life (The Beatles)

Any other suggestions?

If this is what you consider good songs (which I might, in the sense of "Dear god, NEVER at a wedding!")

If You Could Read My Mind (Gordon Lightfoot)
Possession (Sarah McLachlan)

"Blood Wedding" and "Don't Slit Your Wrists for Me" by the Oysterband.

It sounds like a humorous wedding.

If you're going the TMBG route, by all means "Twisting (in the Wind)."

Well, more of a tongue-in-cheek post.

Oooh, how could I have forgotten Bowie's "Heroes"? Or the entirety of the "Kiss Kiss Kiss" album by the Cure.

D-I-V-O-R-C-E by Tammy Wynette?
That Don't Impress Me Much by Shania Twain

"Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me" does have some genuinely happy songs, but "Just Like Heaven" would perfectly fit the motif of "songs that sound like cheerful love songs but just, you know aren't. As opposed to, say, "Slutgarden" by Marilyn Manson, which really sounds like exactly what it is.
