Well, I was! Tom Whitmore is extremely good when he's on his game -- I remember playing "Trivia for Chocolate" at Minicon in 2001, and having him win by a good margin. (I came in behind shsilver and I think someone else also.) He was hurt a bit by Lois Bujold being a GoH; Tom hasn't read her books, and there were several questions about them.
